BC Bowl V was run (after a fashion) on November 18, 2006 at the University of British Columbia. Ten players showed up, unfortunately not including any from Simon Fraser University. Instead the tournament was run by those players who did show up splitting into two teams of four or five and scrimmaging on the tournament packs. The teams changed every so often, so the only meaningful results are individual statistics. All tossups in each packet used were played. The tournament had to be played without a buzzer system as the UBC buzzer system proved irretrievable.

The packets used in each round were:
Round 1: Carleton
Round 2: Ottawa A
Round 3: Queen's
Round 4: Ottawa B
Round 5: Toronto B
Round 6: McGill B/Brock

After 6 rounds everyone decided that they were bored and went home. Singles Action at Wreck Beach Open was not played.

I have chosen to tabulate individual statistics in 3 different ways, given that both tossups and bonuses were played. The first table is a ranking by individual tossup statistics only. The second table ranks only by the number of points scored by that player's team in each game. The third table combines individual tossup points with the number of bonus points scored by that player's teams. In determining rankings, only total points is considered; the number of games played or tossups heard is of no account. It was agreed that the winner would be determined by the first ranking; the other two are included for interest and to take into account the fact that the bonuses were played.
